For example, we recommend our guests to stay at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Beijng who in 1989 was appointed "green" hotel, where the emphasis on recycling and energy conservation.
Another interesting example is The School House in the village of Mutianyu by the Great Wall, where they strive to serve local food, the local staff, has installed a shower rather than a bath etc.. Schoolhouse has been voted one of the top five hotels in China by the tour operator Wild China. They also received four "green" stars of Eco Hotels of the World, and was selected as Best HICAP Sustainable (sustainable) Community Development in Asia-Pacific in 2009.

In China, we have established a Girl Fund to assist poor girls to an education. In poor areas, it is the girls who first taken out of school, and in the small town of Qixian has for several years supported the poorest families so that the girls have been able to go to school. To date, six girls completed high school, and currently there are three to receiving support at school. One of the first girls now seem to qualify to go to university, and if she can do this hurdle, she will still get support! It is possible to give money to a particular girl, and then receive reports on how it goes with her.
In Mongolia, we are supporting the Norwegian pensioner Aase Sims his great project to help disadvantaged children and families in Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia see: Visit Aase Sims). Aase went to Mongolia for almost 20 years ago and has dedicated his life to helping the poorest among us, and by laying stone on stone she built up the school and an activity center. The last two years she has also managed to send two boys teams to participate in the Norway Cup soccer tournament! Our guests can visit Mongolia Aase and see for themselves what she has built. This must be arranged in advance, and it can also contributions given directly on site.
In Myanmar (Burma), we support the operation of an orphanage for boys between 4 and 16 years in Yangon, where many of the children have lost their parents, among others. a. AIDS. The orphanage is located adjacent to a small Buddhist monastery in the capital, and the monks have each day out and begging to get money for food, clothing and schooling for children.
